During the initial consultation, the oral surgeon evaluates your dental and medical history, performs a clinical examination, and may take X-rays or other imaging to assess the condition requiring surgery (such as impacted teeth, jaw problems, or tumors).
On the day of the surgery, you’ll receive anesthesia (local, sedation, or general) depending on the complexity of the procedure and your comfort level.
After the surgery, you’ll receive post-operative instructions regarding pain management, swelling reduction, dietary restrictions, and oral hygiene.
