About this treatment

Root canal treatment (RCT) is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the centre of a tooth caused by bacteria.it is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. The term "root canal" comes from cleaning of the canals inside a tooth's root. During root canal treatment, your dentist or endodontist removes the inflamed pulp. Then they clean and disinfect the inside of your tooth and place a filling on your tooth to seal the space. Root canal treatment is needed in cases of an accident or trauma, tooth decay, or tooth damage.

The treatment is performed to save a tooth and avoid an extraction, as it’s always best to keep as many natural teeth as possible. It can be single sitting or multiple sittings depending on the condition and patient’s requirement. We are a certified Dental microscope centre which helps in delivering even better results in RCT.

Frequently Asked Questions

A root canal is needed when the tooth's pulp becomes inflamed or infected due to deep decay, repeated dental procedures, or trauma. Without treatment, the infection can spread, leading to pain, swelling, or abscess formation.
Modern root canal procedures are relatively painless, thanks to local anesthesia. Most people report feeling little to no discomfort during the procedure, although mild soreness may occur afterward.
A root canal typically takes 1-2 visits. Each session may last 60-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the tooth being treated.
